Spillway Repairs

Fabricast grout bags, Minipiles and Pressure Grouting were used by Technical Foundations to upgrade two concrete chute spillways to withstand higher Probable Maximum Precipitation (PMP) criteria.

Fabricast bags were placed at the toe of the spillway to stabilize the structure at the down stream end. Minipiles were drilled and installed through the grout bags to anchor the toe and prevent any possible movement of the structure. Pressure grouting was performed beneath the spillway slab to fill void areas and reduce any erosion of base material.
