A combination of 16" diameter and 20" diameter auger cast piles were installed as part of the foundation work for a multi-story apartment and parking garage addition in Charlottesville, Virginia. Ground conditions were variable due to the unpredictable elevation of rock across the site. A total of 697 piles were successfully installed with maximum depths of 45'-50'.
