Douthat Dam in Douthat State Park, Bath County, Virginia was rehabilitated which included excavation and placement of roller compacted concrete on the downstream earthen dam embankment and strengthening of the existing concrete masonry spillway with post-tensioned anchors. Technical Foundations was selected to install the post tensioned anchors.

 A DTH (down the hole) hammer was used to drill the anchor holes through the concrete spillway and into the bedrock. Nine Anchors (4-strand, 140 kip working capacity) were installed and anchored into the bedrock and tensioned, effectively anchoring the structure to the foundation rock. |
