In this application we used augered piles to serve as shoring walls for a new pit and as foundation piles for a new vat. The augered pile method allows the shoring to be installed in one continuous operation followed by excavation to full depth. This procedure resulted in a more efficient schedule for shoring and the augered foundation piles.
